Leopards eat a small portions of food such as gazelle. Most leopard’s are light colored and have dark spots on their fur. Leopard’s are found in a lot of different places. But, they live in Sub-Saharan Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, India and China. Something cool about leopards is there speed ca go up to 36mph (running). Their lifespan goes up to 12-17 years. A fun fact is leopards have very strong and gripping claws so that they can climb up a straight cliff.
Sharks are one of the largest animals. Most sharks have really good eye sight. Sharks have been around for a long time. Blue sharks are very blue. My favorite color is blue or turquoise.
Okapi are the only living relative of giraffes. This very beautiful animal lives in the northern , central , and eastern parts of Congo ( Africa ). It is a very unusual animal. There is over 10,000 okapi in the wild! Even though there is a lot of them , you rarely see them. Okapi are a very unique animal to the rain forest , they are also threatened to a great extent.
Blue whales are the largest animals ever known to have lived on earth! These large marine animals are known to rule the oceans up to 100 feet long and upwards of 200 tons. Their tounges alone can weigh more than an elephant. And their hearts can weigh more than an automobile which is very cool!
Did you know that wolves are the biggest animal in the dog family? Wolves develop close relationships and strong social bonds. They create affection for their family and they would even die for them. The grey wolf is known as the Timber wolf. Wolves live and hunt in packs. Wolves are friendly to humans but not as friendly as dogs are.!
All puppies are born deaf and blind. They spend 15-20 hours sleeping which is a lot. A fun fact is that new born puppies don´t poop. And puppies are born without teeth just like humans!
One fact that everybody should know is giraffes are the tallest mammal on earth. There legs are longer than most peoples arm. I personally really like giraffes. They can run a fast as 35 miles which i really amazing. I think it’s because they have really long legs. There heart weigh a lot because they are about two feet and 25 pounds.
Orangutans are great apes. They are also my favorite animal. They are a really cool animal to learn about. So, if you want to learn about this animal keep reading. Orangutans are a orange-reddish brown. The sad part is, a century ago there were 230,000 Orangutans, now there is only 104,700 Orangutans in Borneo. In Sumatra there are only 7,500 Orangutans. this animal is really cool but, it’s species is endangered. Orangutans eat fruit just like most animals do. In case you didn’t know, Orangutan means “King of the forest”, which is in the Malay language. They eat over 500 plant species which is a lot. But, that’s all the facts I have about Orangutans.
